1. BY original, do you mean of original character, or of something else? Either way, I'm pretty sure yeah. I only know from going to Tekkoshocon in Pittsburgh, but I have never had trouble buying art in the artist alley of favorite characters before.
4. Yeah I know there is a button maker, you might be able to find it at craft stores.
5. Yeah, a vending lisence is necessary last time I checked. Other wise, ask the people in charge of the con youre going to. Different cons usually have different rules.

1) All fanart must be original in that you can't use images from pre-designed/published insignia. Original characters is always allowed.
2) That depends on the Con, but for the most part artist's alley members are allwoed to come earlier to set up.
3) Price to cover your cost and make profit. There's no point in trying to cut your price down if it means you can't cover the printing/design/paper you've invested.
4) Button kits are sold at Staples, office depot and craft stores. Instructions come with - that's how you make them.
5) This depends on the con, but No- Vendors are OFFICIAL distributors of merchandise. You should be signing up for the ARTIST'S ALLEY (not yelling, just can't make bold).
