What would you think when you saw that kakashi-cat, named bob? Would you think Silla, or would you think naruto-character?
Wouldn't you think I had stolen a bit if I sold a cartoon with that cat? I think so!
CREATIVITY should be honored! it's not creative with a character that remind you of something that the rest of the million "creative" artists just came up with! And what if my style was realistic.
Then suddenly I convert into manga-ness, just because I wanna draw a cat that's only 50% my idea, and the rest taken 100% out of one single show on the internet. it's not even a twist in the outfit. I see kakashi, you see kakashi, everbody see kakashi, and he's NOT your creation! And I cannot underline and highlight/describe this enough!
Naruto have turned into a wall! Because people draw something naruto like, write a story about it with a demon inside. When someone come and say.. "Hey.. isn't that taken from Naruto?" They just hug it tight and go like.. "NOOOOO!! IT'S MINE! I had this idea! I worked for five whole minutes with thinking out this idea while I was watching Naruto!"
They're so sissy about something like this! And they don't know what fan art is really about. They should sign up for school, or actually show up where they're already going. Maybe they learn a thing or two?
If you work for that person then it's ok! Then you can sell as much of that art as you can possibly do! But no one here is working for someone like that! And still they behave like they do. No ideas of their own, even! Just draw and draw naruto because that's what they can and it gives them fame, because naruto is in millions of hearts all over the world! That's misuse, rather than being honest and accepting that they're actually drawing something made up by another person, and not themselves. They're selfpromoting like hell with their ways of climbing the ladder of fame!
IF they use their style Imb. I have to say that what you just said, you're not sure about! People often drop their style when drawing naruto! They draw anime. They're biggest wishes is to make their piece of art look as alike the original naruto art as possible. That's the wrong set of thinking! Artists are usually those that come across new and exciting ideas! Not narrow it down to the simple alikeness-factor.
you're dragged away from your own imagination and into naruto-world! When you're back, you bring Naruto along and drop other ideas, because they're lame compared to the allmighty naruto w/twist!
By twist, I mean.. look! Read trough peoples visions! Just look at their pictures! What pops up in your head? Is it Naruto? If you manage to compare a character with another one without even thinking, then it's too alike that character! Then they must do something about it to make THEIR name being remembered for their own idea! If not it'll be like.. "Oh see! He's famous for his own naruto-character." I don't like that people put another persons idea in front of the idea of that person! I would take it as an insult if people compared my silla to someone! I don't care if it's a chair! I would be insulted! I want to have something inspired by my heros, but not THE hero itself in a different shape! I bet many want something to be remembered for, but you believe that a naruto-character/Bleach-character/peter-pan character will be it? I just don't like what everyones characters really are..
And I have to say that you couldn't compare Nacht to Tim burtons creations before I said so. I said that his character was inspired by that edward scissorhand's creator! I didn't see that myself even! because he have put so much work, accepted so much critique/good words about his character that he could make his own, and not tim burtons imaginary characters!
