I was reading someone's rant yesterday about this sort of thing and as long as I've been here I've always thought that the policies were pretty straight forward in regard to what is and isn't allowed...
Unfortunately, when individual opinions come into play and some of those opinions include "anything nude is pornographic", there will be issues

well, i think the policy is well handled to be honest. very informative, and hopefully it has cleared up a few things in peoples mind (and also enraged others) i remember a DD a short while back that had people up in arms about a woman '
laying with herself' when all you could see was her standing up pretty normally with her hand over her genitalia- literally just covering them. it was ridiculous to see the amount of abuse the artist and the GD (^arachnid15 i think) from people that thought they knew the model was masturbating. too many people think they know exactly what is happening/how photo was done and point fingers, when really, nothing is happening at all. essentially, the policy you've explained here IS what defines porn- so it covers everything that isn't allowed.

I love the new facility that blocks you reporting something if it's been reported, and not removed, before, and the reason why.
I might not agree with it all the time but I always accept it and it saves a lot of time.
I'm sick of the nude debate. The rules aren't difficult to comprehend, but it's just people allowing their personal views to cloud their judgement of what is art. And it maddens me.
