I think you're being a bit too hard on yourself. Things that might make you feel better about your work would be to either A.) be more serious or B.) embrace your complete lack of seriousness and revel in it. I think for you, Option B has some huge potential. I could see you as an extremely talented satirist...

While I appreciate your explanation about how to feel not like a talentless hack, I actually never did. You are right about option B. I wanted to say that because I thought it would make you feel better at least being able to say that you were less of a hack than I was. Which is... something.
