I live in Bundaberg, there's isnt much here At All.... TKD is pretty much what they have, and thats it ;.;.... if i wanted to learn anything more advanced i'd have to move to Brisbane and i dont have the money for that... DX

Yeah I used to take TKD but school and time kind of got in the way, I'm sorry to say. It's fun and you get great exercise without the usual exercises. Also becoming more atheltic boosts your metabolism so yeah there's a bonus.
TKD is good for exercise, but it's not very good on self-defense. The vast majority of what you learn is strikes and patterns, and very little up close stuff.

TKD is mostly for competitive and demonstration purposes, I was in it for 2 years and didn't learn that much up close stuff. It was mainly for exercise.

It is fun, but Judo or Kenpo is better for actual self defense than TKD.

I did well with it, though. But then again you can't teach 6'3" 300 pounds. :P

*nod* Yeah there's TKD guys all over. Usually at the local elementary school gym, which was where I took my lessons.
