Is phpBB ver == 3.0.2? (That patch came out just recently, and I just want to make sure. >_>

(Also, keep in mind, the fine folks responsible for the phpBB project are retiring ver2 in October, since php-4 is also basically retired. Personally, the only major headaches in v3 that I'm still grasping is the fucking permissions system, there's just too many possible options to think about when assigning them to certain roles.)

But if phpbb2 is on my own server, it'll still run. It just won't receive new security updates I'm assuming?
And yeah I looked there but I couldn't find much on the older layouts. I wanted to use the 2.0x layouts that I've downloaded but they're not compatible it seems, and I probably have to do a bunch of mumbo jumbo crap to get them to work.

Basically yes, since both php-4 and phpBB2 aren't going to be actively maintained.
As for 2.x to 3.x, at the very least, there's a ton of new icon states that would need reproducing, but you could certainly do it.
