good luck with the wedding invites, I'm sure you'll do a beautiful job on them. I understand to some extent how you feel about style and stuff. It's easy to fall into a pattern or a style that you're used to and just never move on from there, but it's hard to change your own style, and the requirement of time and effort constraints make that harder. Hearing about the otakon thing also makes me depressed, but for other reasons entirely. Artstyle or talent or whatever all aside, I always felt that the artist community should be about mutual support and respect, but the fact that what they are doing seems to be just taking advantage of rules even at the expense of other artists is really saddening. If it makes any difference though, I always thought you had a unique or at least a very recognizable style, and although I haven't known you for thaaaat long, there's definitely bits and places where I see improvement and changes and it makes watching your art all the more pleasant.
aaahhh yes. I have gone through that a lot. I think your art is wonderful dont get too down about it! You have amazing talent. I dont understand what otakon drama you are talking about through? what is this?
You're art is really amazing. You shouldn't doubt yourself. If anyone should doubt it's me xD I'm horrid compared to you. (: Me, I want to be a professional manga artist, I know I have a long way to go, after all, I'm only sixteen. I've looked up to you for a while, trying to achieve something as good as your art. But it's difficult to get that good... Keep at it~! -thumbs up- And good luck with those cards, congratulations to your friend also!
Those wedding invitations look really great so far! : ) And the Otakon drama is so dumb and made me lose respect for everyone, not that I ever had respect for anybody in the first place. X,D Sorry your down about your art, but you really do incorporate realism into your art, and I've really looked up to you all these years, so don't feel too bad. ;;
Aaaaw, it feels nice to know that people look up to me! XD; But your art is pretty good at your age!! ^^ I don't think I draw that well either when I was your age! Keep improving!!
I as well thought about all the manga style bashing when reading all the Otakon drama, i hope people still is smart enough to diferenciate the repetitive shiny anime desu style from serious anime/manga artists, it's so sad critizising someone just for the style they chose for their arts not caring about the quality of it.
The wedding cards look really pretty! Good luck with the Kyou >_< Congrats to you friend

"From what I've seen, I hate humanity. Rot with repulsion. I'll write the world a brand new song."
I know, orz. I used to have a slight bit of respect for Ramy you know, at the very least I can see in some of his past works that he could actually draw. But it's just sad that he would sacrifice quality for quantity... u_u;;
And aaaw thank you, you think I incorporate realism in my art? XD; Though I will try to do my best next time!
I have no idea why you would doubt yourself on your art. I mean I just started to DevWatch you and all I could think about was: 'Oh god these pictures are amazing! I wish I could draw like that.'
Your gallery is so amazing.. I wouldn't mind just to get eaven a pinch of your talent.....
Yeah, although I know they are bashing about the more generic stuff, but somehow you just feel the hit too you know? Some people might just think all manga style art are shit, right? XD; *pats Cao*
And thanks for the good luck!! I will need them ;__;
