Still on XP here, but I would welcome Vista if I'd get a new PC. Hey, improved graphics with DX10, I won't say no to that. But right now I'm only buying some loose upgrades for my current PC. Recently replaced my powersource to a 750watt one to prepare for a new graphics card.
My parents use Windows Vista on all their computers and none of us have seen a problem yet. My computer and laptop don't have Vista 'cos the installation disk won't work
umm.....i don't have it...but i've ALWAYS trusted windows....hope that helps...

me: just because I don't exist, doesn't mean I'm not real. Legacy: But, that's..! me: Impossible? I know. But i made you, that proves I'm real...even though I'm non-existant.
I never used vista, but a person I knew said that a relative of his has found over 30 bugs in vista in under 5 minutes. Whether you find this reliable is up to you, but I think you only get problems on vista if you look for them.

Vista's as bad as they say in my experience, and the people I know personally. I have seen some people who say it runs fine and they like it, but after having Vista run so slow I can't use it all the time, BSoD me at least once a day normally, and having to reinstall 5 or 6 times... :/ Seems to work okay if you're just doing basic internet and email, anything more, I'd say stay away
ugh vista is pretty and all but it can be very aggravating -.-; almost every time i get on fire fox it encounters an "error" snd it pisses me off overall its not as bad for me as people say

Dell Inspiron 1525 with a Pentium Dual Core 1.6 Ghz, 1GB Ram, upgraded to 3 after I got it, which sped it up slightly, still not nearly as fast as XP though, 160 GB HD and a GMA 950, I think. Cheapest laptop I could find basically >_< Think it may be on the low end of what's required to run Vista really...
Windows Vista is as bad as you want it to be. I am a gamer, and i do only have good expreience with Vista (I'm using Home Premium 64-bit)
The only bad things is that many programs, hardware and "stuff" isn't working in Vista.
If you do have old hardware (like a old scanner or printer) it might not work with Vista.
But overall it's a good and usable OS. It might take some time to find all the features in vista (like "Add/remove programs" is now called "Programs and features").
And if you are using Aero (transparent window effects) other programs might be verry slow.
And the UAC (User Account Control) is sometimes annoying. You can disable it from "Control Panel>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control on or off".
There is many tweaks that can be done to make it run smoother. Use google and see for yourself XD
well man, best way to put it is like this. It's a windows program. It'll run right for the most part, and most dell computers now are made to handle vista specs. But you'll probally have a handfull of problems. Most problems i had was incompatible voice chat on yahoo (which i hardly use) and 'the orange box' didn't wanna run depending on what updates i did or didn't have. which expect vista to bug you constantly and tell you, you have updates, although that's been going on since XP.

I would pluck the brighest rose from the fields of my greatest enemies for a woman as beautiful and lovely as you
Not quite sure whether I'll be getting the 32 or 64 bit version of Vista. But it'll be Service pack 1 either way. I recently got Elder scrolls IV - Oblivion, Game of the year edition off ebay and I'm hoping my new PC will run it. It has all the hardware specifics to make the game run fine, but I'm worried Vista will screw everything up.
