uhhh..yeah..that might have been it...anyway...it was great reading...except for the part about the worst word in the Universe being "Belgium" ...that's where i'm from you know?
hey! wait! something's coming back to me...it's been a long time since i read those books..but...weren't mice the rulers of the universe? yeah! or something like that...no wonder you like it.... did you know that A Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy is supposed to be a nihilistic story? or the view it conveys is nihilistic..something like that.... i don't quite remember why...but when it was explained to me by my philosophy teacher it made great sense.
Mice comissioned the building of Earth, which consequently blows up. They did that to find out why the Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is 42. It all makes perfect sense in a deranged sort of way, which is probably why I like the books. It actually proves we don't exist. We're all products of a crazed mind, which also doesn't exist...
uhhh..yeah..that might have been it...anyway...it was great reading...except for the part about the worst word in the Universe being "Belgium" ...that's where i'm from you know?
I do disagree there. I think the worst word in the Universe is... *dramatic theme music plays in background* Maths *shudder*. Although, having never been to Belgium, I can't say. But you know, at least something good has come out of Belgium.
maths? well...i suppose it's kind of pointless and boring...but i don't know if i'd go as far as to say it's the worst word... and lots of good things have come from belgium...best chocolate, arguably best beer, very very good lace....and...well..that's where my list stops for now...but i'll have more to it after i think awhile
well, you see, the country is split into two halves...one of them french speaking, and the other dutch...both of the halves hate each other.... it rains all of the time... people dress in dark clothes and are generally, as a rule, unhappy...so...well.. it's heaven for the melancholic...but for regular people it's not so great.
Wow, I'd be hopeless there. The only thing I can say in French is 'fuck you'. I can see it now...
Well, the whole world is pretty melancholic anyways. And besides, there are no regular people. Only a bunch of chooks who think they're regular. Then there's those of us who know we aren't regular. And it is we who shall inherit the Earth, although by that time we won't want it anyway and will be living on Alpha Centauri or some such place.
no... i don't think you'd be too screwed...most everyone there speaks some english...enough that you won't be horribly stranded at least...
and when i say regular..i mean...people that smile once or twice a day...that's usually the first observation of any american.... no one is smiling.
alpha centauri...that sounds quite nice right about now... i wish that the billions of dollars my current government is spending on the space projects, instead of feeding the starving children , would show results a little faster....mars...who cares about mars? uninhabitable is all i needed to hear.
A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
