Nice to hear you weigh in, Nate. I wish others could realize they don't need to enter the debate nor hop on the the bandwagon to show support.

Devious Comments

I already ranted my bit in the Shoutbox tonight. But I do agree about DA going "corporate". What do these people expect? That everything is all high-dandy and free? I do think a lesson needs to be taught here.

Thank you so much for the stamp. <3 It's in my journal at the top.

deviantART will never be the same without °jark and °matteo.
On August 7th, let's bring back the COMMUNITY.

We are a community. He can't stop us.
:nod::heart:

as a staff member do you have a bigger picture of whats going on ?
i understand you cant disclose any of that info so don't think thats my next question

still, i assmume that dA, at its current point, is banking enough money to afford the servers and the bandwith
it seems like $spyed wants to limit the community so that there are less people and less new art to hold off the high bills

If you read my signature you will notice I mentioned a corporate DeviantART in there.... I'm just saying, run this site as a community not like a coporation. I by no means think DeviantART is a secert money scandal or whatever. I'm just saying, run this site like a community not a business.

I support a community centered administration, not a corporate one!
Nice. I think this is probably one of the better journal's I've read recently. While I or anyone else in the community doesn't like being kept in the dark, especially staff that have resigned because of that simple reason, I'm not going to go around and get involved in the spreading of rumours. And I'm certainly not going to be leaving. Not yet, anyway. Everyone is jumping to the "I'm leaving, I'm not submitting, I'm having no community interaction". What happens when (and if) a reasonable statement is made? Aren't they all going to look stupid? I'd rather wait and see first, personally.

well said, mate! very well said.

thank you.
Well said. I just want Jark on the staff again. I don't think deviantart shouldn't be about money. This site is huge, it NEEDS Money.

And bandwagons are bad, and I do'nt plan on leaving.
So I agree with you on many points.

Bang Bang
Why should we believe that the site isn't going corporate when its founders say it has? Why should we believe in the current administration when °euphoria, who has been here since the beginning, saying she has seen deplorable levels of integrity? Why should we not believe in some of the speculation we're heard when the administration has neither done nor said anything to dispell it or shed any light on this chaos?

I love this community, but what happened to Scott was a slap in the face to everything he stood for and everything he and Matt built this site around. The current administration was not here from the beginning, and the CEO wasn't even labelled an administrator until mid 2002. We are "jumping on a bandwagon" because we believe that integrity has lapsed, and that there is administrative indifference toward the deviants who make up this community. Until the administration honestly says anything the disaffection will continue and possibly grow. Leaders are here to empower those around them and inspire confidence through steadfastness and visible integrity, not tell them to fall in line and trust blindly, as we are being told to now.

That's where many of us stand. It's not about sides. It's about doing, saying and being committed to what's right - things many of us cannot be sure of in light of the founder's removal and resulting information blackout.
