They haven't changed the agreement that much, and the part that has made people all go 'OMG NOO MY ART WILL BE STOLEN' is there just to give DA the right to
a) alter your pictures into thumbnails so you don't need to make all of them yourself and
b) the right to showcase your art in articles, DD's, featured prints at deviantprints dot com, et cetera.
I ask you; why would the largest art-site, a HUGE business that has eaten tens of thousands of dollars, shoot themselves in the ankle just to nick a picture or two from random people?
If any, they'd use art of those 1,000,000,000 pageview-talents, and yet they haven't done so. Why? Because they would literally kill their own company with it. No-one would use the site anymore and their business would be dead.
Remember, this is a registered business with incomes, paperworks, thousands of dollars invested yearly just on new hard-drives, not to mention the other bills and salaries of the employees. Not some shabby lil place that'll steal your art and sell it to be bookcovers at some cheapo online-place.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes. Please read this article for more information on how you can participate!
