A great lider who needs to be mentioned is Lula... his only problem is his liberalism and his "good neighborhood with USA and Europe" politics... but he elevated Brazil on such a position that we are very expressive in the world nowdays... he is very friend of Chaves too, but, just like nearly all brazilians, he fears USA if he turns out t be the true socialist he was.
You know? I will try to join our Brazilian politics someday... maybe I can change somethin' on our regions: I am Comunist and I think that equality is the best way for us all to live (not that thing that is happenin' in China, but that who was supposed to happen in Cuba, if it was not the USA embargo).

Small historical notes:
1) between 1920 and 1945 the Arab population around the Jewish territories of Palestine multiplied by almost 4. From 200K to 750K... many were economy related immigrants, just like the Jews of Europe only without persecution.
2) Israel is the historical homeland of the Jewish people. Occupied by the Romans who renamed it Syria-Palestina and later occupied by invading Arabs.
3) During the years of the Arab Israeli wars, approx. 750K Palestinians were uprooted while approx. 850K Jews from Arab countries were uprooted as well. In case you were not aware of it. The Arab people invaded many countries during the spread of Islam. Don't laugh... read a book or at least open an article on an electronic encyclopedia for cryin out loud.
p.s. International community said that there will be a Jewish state but I don't see the majority of Arab countries respecting this either.

I had an Israeli girlfriend: I learned a lot of stuff with her (ironically, I converted myself to Islam two years ago).
I understand Israel's side: But I still think it is wrong to kill civilians only because some bastard build military structures besides them.
I still think that Hamas had the coward tatic to make Israel kill civillians in order to raise their popularity with the Palestine people.
And it is not only muslims that are fanatics: Do you remember the Ireland IRA? They were christisans: The problem is not the religion: It is the people who use it.

Nobody attacked Hamas because they built their base of operation next to civilians... they were attacked because they shot rockets at an area holding 500K Israeli civilians (Jews, Duze, Arabs, and other). They went as far as declaring war just a week ago and launched 150 rockets within 3 days... possibly because they were losing ground in the polls for the upcoming Palestinian elections in January.
Anyways, the reported casualty figures (reliability is questionable) say 1 out of 6 casualties are civilians.. which is not good, but pretty amazing considering how Hamas operates - dispatching "civilians" to support their people by acting as human shields -> [link]
