That is a good question. I don't know many makers here in the US. I bought all mine from builders in the UK not including the ones I'm making. It really also depends on what sort of style you're looking for. Classic or modern series.
The only things I got from the UK were Thunderbirds dolls. I'll have to see where I can find me some Sonic Screwdrivers. Expensive, are they?
Ummmm, yeah a little. XD My RB Replicas 4th Doctor sonic with sound made from aluminum cost me $189 and that was before the custom upgrades. A 10th Doctor sonic in metal with light and sound costs around $300-ish. My own redesigned classic that I sold cost about $195-ish and my modded brass plumbing hardware sonic typically sells for $130 but i throw in a matching brass tardis key brass trimmed leather psychic paper wallet too. I've got an 8th Doctors sonic coming for $150 and I paid out $200 for a custom Teletran designed sonic that is still being made by my manufactuerer in Singapore.
