The definition of peace, given in my first comment implies that situations, such as slavery or occupation are not peaceful:
"...and they work and live together instead of working against one another..."
But if you don't like this definition although you haven't read it carefully, let me give you another definition of peace:
In the current world order, peace is a situation of economic conflicts. It is a situation, followed by armed conflicts (war). This means, that:
1. The situation where people work and live together instead of working against one another is an illusion as long as states & capitalism make the world go round.
2. Begging for peace is useless as long as states & capitalism make the world go round, because in their hands, peace – just like justice – is nothing but a tool.
