This piece has long captivated me.
I consider it museum-worthy artwork that rivals the masters of old.
What's truly incredible is the composition, lighting, and exquisite mastery of color.
And more incredible on a personal level, is my ongoing fascination with this piece despite my terrible phobia of snakes, and being completely petrified of Rusalka, Naiads, water-dwelling beauties who drown you.
Somehow these things elements don't matter compared to my love affair with this image.
I consider it an honest master work, and continue to applaud it, some several years after first viewing.
