Well, it just one of several options. Now, about 4 years after I drew this, I'm not sure if this is the most parsimonious/probable among them, but it'a still one of those possibilities allowing the male stegosaur not ending up eviscerated.

Yeah,but then again, it must be hard to get onto the female's back with those plates and spikes
