ha ha, I looooove it!! I'd clean up some of the line work in her hair & the decorations in her hair, but if you polished it up, I'd so wear that!

Wow, Lora- thanks!

Thanks for the advice too. I pumped up the black a lot in the color selection to make the linework pop- and I think that made the lines really smudgy. I think I'll go back into the art, clean up the lines, scan it in really high res, work on it in PS some, then scan it into AI and finish off the file. There's so much technical widgety things I have to figure out before I can start selling them... But it'll be worth it in the end, I think! :D

Yeah, taking it into AI might help. But on the other side, you have this beautiful, organic line work all around her face that you'd lose in illustrator. It comes from the pen, which your brushstrokes/handworked elements of your art is really your strength. So I might not take it into AI and get a really polished line. But I'd check the balance of the linework--so delicate and almost non-existent around the face, then blocky and awkward up in parts of her hair. Maybe I'd just take it into Photoshop and taper off some of those lines... like the boob line, taper that off so it's not all blunt where it starts, but you'll maintain that hand drawn look that makes the piece.

Thanks again! I really appreciate the advice. That sounds like that is just what I need to do.

Have you ever had any experience making t-shirts? I was talking about this with Savivi. I'm thinking Zazzle is probably the way to go, but I need to see what sort of files they need. I'm hoping I can get away with a super high res PS file...

I've never done tee shirts but I'm betting that they just need a JPEG or a TIFF. My friend Chris Oately has a Zazzle store, so if you have questions, you could ask him: *ChrisOatley He's super nice.

He designed the tee shirt that Bea is wearing in issue #6 of The Dreamer, and he's selling it in his Zazzle Store! :D

Thanks so much for the recommendation! I'll be sure to ask him for advice when I'm closer to getting everything together. You're so awesome Lora. :)
