lol the ear is actually drawn from an old guy ref that i found, and it was an odd looking one. looked just like that. the only thing i exaggerated was i made it hairy lol. but if it looks odd i can tweak it.
and the stubble on the neck was actually something i thought of too. ill probably add that in the next sketch and see how it looks. great minds think alike lol
and the collar and body will look better once they are more than just a gesture. i kinda just threw them on and didnt bother looking for ref lol

lol, apparently I don't look at enough old-man ears XD; Hm, well, the guy that you drew appears more middle-aged that old, maybe that's why I'm not making the connection...uh...between him and his ear...lol.
Even though it doesn't necessarily reflect reality, I do like the stubble the way it is. Again, it's very simpson-esque.

i drew the full body guy with stubble on his neck and it really added to the overall appeal. its awesomer now
