Oh..XD sorry...well, the hair-do(at least there version) and name mohawk comes from Native tribes , and I'm pretty sure they wore mohawk headdresses like most Natives. The headdresses nowadays are just worn on top of the head with a tie or strap that goes under the chin, but in the past they would shave there heads and clip them on there remaining hair if I remember correctly. The head dresses where usually made of dyed horse hair or porcupine quills. There the mod common kind of headdress, and there are many variations of them that where worn a lot.

Mohawks were different than Mohicans. Mohawks were part of the Iroquois confederacy and the Mohicans were Algonquian. Often the two (and I assure we are two different tribes) are confused and assumed to be one in the same.
