What I've learned in my portfolio class is that you don't need to list any employment that doesn't related to your field (unless it's considered leadership, then add it), or stuff you did in High School.
If you've done freelance and stuff, add that.
Employers pretty much just do a quick scan of a resume, so you need all the main info present and anything that's not related to be left out.

I'll keep that in mind when I redo my resume, but so far I haven't actually gotten any 'real world experience.' I've just had part time jobs to help pay my way through school. But hopefully that will change soon ;)
