The blur in the back (center) is shadows of the 3 main chess pieces. There are a few other pieces in the back (sides) as well. This was intentional. Is it distracting?

Hrm... I don't know, not really. I did look a while before I saw it. It looks like a face though, which I thought was kind of strange.
