Exactly! Half the time they all look the same in the comics. I mean, I've seen Wolverine drawn towering over other characters.
And Quicksilver pudgy. And Galactus they draw whatever size they please...
A good artist know to draw them differently, because it adds personality and distinctiveness to the character. The character starts drawing itself, because subconciously the artist says, "He can't do that," or "He wouldn't stand that way." And a good writer will then incorporate that into the story, as it feeds back into itself.

Anyway, my two cents worth...
(You should hear the arguements with my Greek friends over it.):faint:

But yes, I like that look for Herc. It "fits."

Here's a sketch I did before the Hulk vs Hercules 1-shot I did, which was my first time drawing Hercules-- [link]
In the height chart that's Herc, a couple of Gigantes and Hulk. I've found making height charts to be especially useful, just to see how the characters should look while standing next to each other. Sometimes when you do that you'll notice things that you didn't before.
I also did one for Alpha Flight-- [link]

Yep! (I've looked at the Alpha Flight chart before.)
(It's so funny when they're all the same height and build, and the talk about how "big" the other is. And these are drawn by established, well-know artists! And then you get the small characters overly muscled and built like the Hulk.
And every face is exactly the same too.)

It's so useful. It helps with other things too, like "Oh, that's how big a Quinjet actually is!" And it makes the heroes look more heroic, because of the size difference.

And you appear to have more fun drawing them too. There's a 'happiness' to your work, an enthusiasm.

Well, I'm enjoying it,at least.
