It seems like a mixtape would defeat the point of shoegaze by compromising the sound...
But, that has nothing to do with you. I love this. It feels so comfortable and really reminds me of what the alternative scene meant to me and what alot of this music connotates in my head, things like just chilling with people over really good music and enjoying being young. IDK, I can't describe what you seem to have done so elegantly with a picture as simple as a guitar resting on a futon, but it works so well and that's all that matters. Is there an image of the insert actually in a cassette case?

I actually thought about that while I was recording the songs onto the tape, but it seemed to work out fairly well. Cassettes sound horrible, yeah, but since it was brand new, it's not like it had a very lo-fi quality.

Most of those images I got from an Anthropologie catalog. They seem to have very appropriate, high quality images, no matter what I'm working on.

I tried scanning it with the case once or twice, and it was sadly unsuccessful because of the glare. D:

Hmm, that's neat. I'll have to have a look into said catalogues. I tried recording a shoegaze mixtape recently because my car radio went out, and ugh, it sucks. Glad it worked for you though!
