Yeah, it's no scimitar. The blade is far too short. But the overall blade design does not match a cutlass very well, which looks like a very stout saber. And you've seen my saber in my gallery before.

You weren't looking hard enough XD. I just found it. It is an Arabic Warrior Short Scimitar. Meant to be wielded by one hand and its cutting principles work on the same things as the Japanese Katana. Here's a link for you.

Yup, that's it! Although I have to say that's the shortest scimitar I've ever seen. And to be honest, I had a strong hunch it was Arabic in design. It strongly reminded me of the sword used by Aladdin in Kingdom Hearts. And it is inscribed on the blade "Pakistan", so I at first thought it was from there or India. Looks like I wasn't too far off.

Anyway, thanks!:glomp:

No problem. I knew I couldn't be wrong with its origins and the particular curve of the blade is a trademark of Scimitars. So it was a matter of looking up on different types of Scimitars and that was among the top 10 results I got back. I spent a good amount of my childhood looking up and researching bladed weapons so I know a weapon's origins and trademarks.

Also never rely on Wiki to find something out. A lot of things Wiki doesn't have or don't say plenty of other sites have the answer.

It's pretty reliable in most ways, but yeah. It does have its limits.

When researching something Wiki is a good starting point but it should never be what you depend on find something out.

Then like I said later it may be a type of Cutlass. It's designed just like a Scimitar but just shorter. It made for tight quaters combat.
