Thank you, I see what you mean now. I think both of those houses look fine in their own way. But the current effect was chosen on purpose. I was playing GTA IV and noticed that when it's night the game looks slightly darkblue/greyish instead of just black. I liked this effect and decided to apply it to the shadowy parts of this icon.
