Yeah, I'm afraid we've really messed up the climate. People think it's just glaciers melting, but you can't have that kind of change without affecting everything else. And I think that's what we're seeing, with these extremes all over the country and the globe.

That mold must suck. It would be bad, for me. I'm allergic to mold.

Then there are those people who say we haven't done anything to the environment. Some people are really stupid.

Fortunately I don't seem to have any allergies to the mold. We purchased a dehumidifier today and have begun the process of removing the water from the air. I was surprised by how much came out of the bedroom in just a few hours. This should really help decrease the mold problem. Cross your fingers as it is just awful.

Yeah, those would be the same people who say evolution isn't real.

The dehumidifier should do a good job. You can also mix a 10-to-1 water/chlorine bleach solution and spray the worst areas down. It kills most kinds of mold in a heartbeat.

You are right. I am a store manager at Blockbuster and a few years ago "An Inconvenient Truth" came out. I liked the movie, but you would be amazed at the number of people who said the movie was complete crap.

I have used both bleach and tea tree oil to combat the mold. I prefer the use of tea tree oil as the smell is less obnoxious than that of bleach. Unfortunately because the water hadn't been removed from the apt...the mold just came back. I have run the dehumidifier for about 15 hours and already pulled out 6+ gallons of water! I was so shocked.

Yeah, that was supposed to be a good presentation of the facts. I haven't bothered to rent it because I'm already aware of those things.

It's amazing how much "stuff" the air can carry around invisibly or semi-invisibly. Especially when you remember that 6 gallons of water weighs almost 50 pounds. And pollution is measured in tons! (Which is one of the more horrifying facts of modern life.)

I had not even remotely thought about the weight of the water or the pollution. I guess that is why humidity can feel heavy. It is. I had no idea pollution was so "heavy". Too bad they can't just create some kind of "depollutionizer".

Oh, they have! They're called rain and trees. Unfortunately, rain just moves the pollutants to a different part of the environment, where it tends to kill off the fish and amphibians. And we have a nasty habit of burning trees, which creates more pollution. Not to mention clearcutting and other destruction.

What we really need is a destupidizer that can force people to stop being stupid. Because we obviously aren't going to do it willingly.

It really is too bad how the deforestation of the Amazon is causing such troubles.

Care to invent the destupidizer? :)
