its beautiful! I remember toaster covers, blender covers, kleenex box and toilet paper covers, I think there was probably a cover for everything. My grandmothers ( and elderly neighbors) lived through the "great depression". I imagine it gave them a way to update their kitchens etc. without spending money on new appliances. One of my grandmothers had little lace doilies on all the arms and backs of her chairs. She made her own lace for clothes. I would use one just to hide the ugly toaster myself if I wasn't too lazy to make one.
