I like them, but their batshit shipper fans usually make me despise them. (And I ship Nine and Rose a hella lot more than Ten and Rose. )

And yes, it's so heartbreaking .. But I think that's exactly the reason why they should be together for as long as they can! And I kinda think that's the whole point about the doctor, that he will lose his companions at some point no matter what, even if it's death, free will, parallel universe or something else, he will be alone
