:aww: thank you so much !!! I love to paint Japanese motives. :D
I just bought a book of traditional Japanese art and can look at the patterns and forms all the time :aww:
I hope I can paint the other one soon. I'm a little busy this week, because I have to go to Tokyo to renew my German passport, but I hope I can finish it next week.

and yes, it worked... now I just have to wait for my new passport, but all else is correct *whew* :faint:
I really enjoyed my time in Tokyo with my friends. We had a great time together, but now I'm happy I'm back with my family and in my calm Hakodate

Konnichiwa Julia-san,

I'm so glad to hear that you seemed to have enjoyed your stay in Tokyo! As I'm in the same situation as you (I'm a permanent resident in Canada and I've just finished to renew my status), I totally understand how stressful & troublesome to do that. Hope you are resting & feel at ease with your family now!

Thank you so much
Today the weather is great. So we can go to the forest and pick mushrooms たぶんラクヨウがあります。
I would love to cook Nabe with it for dinner today :D
We also need to buy tsurishinbun... maybe we can catch the first Hokke soon.

Oh and I bought a wonderful book about flowerpainting with watercolor in Tokyo. It explains the technique so we,, I can understand without reading (it's Japanese). I'm not a watercolor-artist, but I always love to read and study diffetent techniques, which I can "translate" into my style. If you like, I can scan the cover, so you can maybe check it out at amazon?
How is your Autumn?

Konnichiwa Julia-san,

Great to hear from you, always! I hope you had a great time in the forest with your beloveds!

I love Nabes very much, too! They are the perfect food to warm up in winter, aren't they? :-)

I'm very interested in the book you bought in Tokyo. Do you mind sending me the picture of the cover? Thank you very much for your kind offer!

Here in Vancouver, it's getting colder and colder day after day. This morning, I noticed that there were some snow on the top of the mountains!! Winter is just around the corner!

Please take good care of yourself and I hope your exhibitions next year will be a big success! (I am sure it will be!)

Thank you so much Masa-san :)
Yes, the mushroom-hunt was a success today and we had a great soup with Rakuyou and numerisugitakemodoki. I ate them for the very first time and it was delicious.
In Germany, people eat Rakuyou, but nobody knows Numerisugitakemodoki is edible at all, because it does not fit with European cooking. That was very interesting for me. It really tasted great.
You can check the pictures in my Blog if you like :D

Have a great weekend !!!
