I just randomly bought mine from a Goodwill store, and it had MOST of the characteristics of Rorschach's coat.... except maybe the color to be darker, and for more of a leather texture...

No, but my background is in theater (paint & props for the most part). I'd love to cosplay as Rorschach someday soon - 'til then my costume will wait patiently in the storage bin I got for it. xD

It'd really fun cosplaying as Rorschach because surprisingly enough, alot of people can recognize him! It's great! Alot of people want to take your picture and hug you and stuff. ^^

Not any good cons nearby, really. There might be some in Chicago, but I'm still figuring out where Watchmen cosplay works and where it doesn't. It seems like most conventions I see are for anime, which is a different animal altogether!
I did have a lot of fun on Halloween; tons of people recognized me. I had one guy come rushing up to me at random saying, "I f***ing love you!!" and one (fairly drunk) group of girls try to flirt with me.
I'm hoping that next year I can find a con that's either nearby or near family so I can incorporate it into a visit (provided I can get the time off work and $$$ to travel). Here's hoping, anyway!
