I actually have to disagree with that one....I honestly can NOT take Shandor even remotely seriously with that pointy beard of his, lol.
In this version that I see, I can at least consider Shandor as a threat of something bigger that is about to happen...Definitely looks like the first phase of a final boss fight

I'm taking about his first form.
The Destructor form reminds me of Emperor Palpatine (which is a cool form, I won't deny that). The realistic version's Destructor form resembles a demonic Jesus, which I think fits better with how Shandor sees himself. He's basically a god.
Shandor (in my opinion) in the wii version looks like Walter (from Jeff Dunham)
