Wasn't Marsupilami with his gorilla friend, Maurice?

depends on which version it was. disney 90's version says yes, 50's french orriginal version says no, but he did have a family. :) see the comment conversation on the other one, Rescue.

But Marsupilami does not have a wife and kids, He has a sidekick gorilla, named Maurice. Also, Maurice does not talk at all. He only burps and grunts. I remember the part when Marsupilami says "Maurice, Snap out of it! Say Something." Then he realizes and says "Oh, He can't talk!"

I believe the version you are referring to is the 90's version. believe me, someone called me out on this before, on my first one. in the orriginal version, the one by Andre, the french dude, in the 1950's, he did have a wife and kids, and would get into all kinds of strange adventures. And he only said Huba (or hooba, however you wanna spell it). I, being the lover of talking animals, didn't like that. Mostly because it made the marsupilami less of an all-around fun-loving guy. As you have seen (or can see through youtube) the disney version is that way, and can talk, and yes, has a gorrilla freind who can't talk named maruice. I simply combined the plot of the old with the character of the new. Look, if you don't believe me, go to this web address, or even [link]=pw-bOa3bnfs as you may see, this is certainly not maurice and the marsupilami you know of. In fact, it's a european version of the comic, which was created by andre. you can find the site for the comic and art here: [link]
look it up on Wikipedia, too. There should be something about it haveing been created in the 50's. :)
