I am a gen 1 and gen 2 fan. Those are the best generations in my opinion. The new games don't have that "charm" to them that the old ones did.

I thought that HGSS did, and at this point RSE seems retro enough to me. Gen 4 is soulless, though.

HG/SS and FR/LG are good. RSE was okay. After that, it got really dull.
