I usually do my line art in illustrator because I have never been able to quite get good clean lines in photoshop. I think I see my flaw, it's just a matter of having patience and going over the line until you get it how you like. I just got myself a tablet and I think it will be much quicker so I'm going to try this method that you have shown me here, hopefully it turns out well.
