Right now I neither have my original photos nor a good enough map available to tell you the exact place.
I'm quite sure that it's not the Gap of Dunloe, but very close. I was on my way from Killarney to a 'cabin' with a small parking lot from where I could start my walk up the Carrauntuohil.
If you have some days or weeks patience (as I'm not at home right now and don't know when I will return) I can look it up. However, I can't really vouch for a more detailed location, as I haven't always written everything down
