Really stunning work Micheal.. as always. 
I love her hair, each stroke both light and dark really shows and gives the feeling of movement and depth. The depth and texture to her coat makes it looks almost as though it could be stroked.
I also really like the pose you chose, it shows a sense of despair or helplessness.

It's funny, the coat ended up being the most time consuming aspect of this picture. The paper I had chosen has such a smooth finish that I had to create texture where there was none! This involved countless small strokes with a mechanical pencil (like drawing terrier fur
).

I've been trying to do a portrait of my Dad's late jr terrier and the coat has been driving me nuts!
