While I like Rorschach, he is by in his very nature a man who is broken. Even before he discovered the little girl murdered and butchered, he was broken.Meaning that he may not necessarily be the kind of pure heart that would receive a heartblade.
But then, the world he lives in has no truly pure people and in context, he is the best candidate.
Hmm... must investigate further.

Well the Heartblade never started as a pure heart, it started as a strong heart, which might fit more in your analysis. It's a puzzle either way.
But that hardly matters anymore, really it's how strong my heart is for them... which basically means rules be damned I'll draw whomever I please ^_^
