I have the same feeling looking at it. I t was a compromise. I just did not want to give more sky up. Good eye.
Stitching is always possible ya? 2 or 3 horizontal shots works well for stuff like this (panning vertically). More from this light show?

You are right, but believe me, there was no time. It only lasted for a brief moment. Then the light changed, and with already long exposure I had barely enough time to bracket this shot.
