i am having issues with putting ... anything in to the desktop areas. i cant just drag files and folders to the desktop areas, and if i make a link or a real item in the real folders, it shows up as a generic icon...

Am i doing it wrong?

On drag & drop - it's UIPI, it can be disabled by lowering UAC level. On icons - could You write more detail (like file type).

On Windows 8, have UAC disabled. And detail for the file type, ok :D Will try!
Is very nice, reminds me of my beloved and still main "new tab" page, Nimi Places for Web :D :D :D

That's weird then, anyway regarding NP for Web - there is even "Open all" option when clicking on title bar. Sadly not many people use that extension nowadays, even NWC didn't become popular even though there is nothing wrong with it. Guess, this is fate of all things ahead of their time or not being pushed in mass media.

I keep the main sites i used in different nimi orignizers for Web, and right-click > Open all is always used, so glad that is in the code!

And yes, mass media literally has way to much impact on what is popular and what is not, even if it is a good app.

Is it ok if I do a web review of NPW on my blog? Then I will submit it to a few sites that i frequent (WM, rightguy.info)

There is freedom of speech so anyone can write review, critique even ;D

For me biggest concern with NP for Web though is that it technically requires revision, I know it works, but support of dual storage (remote & local) complicates it too much.

Anyway, there will be two new projects that You might find to like even more - both should have web versions.

ok! Can not wait to see the new projects!
