I read the book three times. 
I also watched the film. The book better is stimulating the imagination. After the film it is harder to use the own fantasy.

I mean I loved the movies! And than I really wanted to read the book!
But normaly I do it the other way around!
But in the book there is so much more story than in the movie. So its still very interesting to read it!
But it would have been much better if I havent seen the movies before.
