Hello, I think making this is a great idea, I just downloaded and tried out - works! 
my only question is - the newly made layer with lineart did not change to grayscale. it remained RGB, but it ceased to react to stuff like levels, brightness/contrast, dodge, burn, blend mode. Is it normal? O_o"

Well the newly made layer is suppose to change back to RGB at the end so that is normal.
Okay I just tried it out myself and the ones you mentioned don't work (I'm guessing because the lines are pure black) but if you go to Hue/Saturation, select Colorize, put the Lightness up and then you can pick the hue and saturation. Then after that the levels, etc. should work on the coloured lines.

my lines were clack and a bit gray. well, i'll try, but i guess something's just off ^^"" if not, i'll just do all the balancing beforehand.
