Het zoemende Ei
Lambik has a new hobby. He wants to be an illusionist, but the trics doesn't want to go as he wants them to go.
One day, he visits Professor Barabas. Even though the professor has his own problems, he let Lambik do a magic tric and Lambik even helps him to solve the problem!
The professor goes back to work and he asks Lambik if he could get Suske, Wiske and Sidonia.
Some time later, they come to the house of Barabas, but the professor isn't finished yet, so Lambik figures that he could do some more magic trics.
After those got wrong as well, the professor comes into the room and tells them that he had deciphered the message from outer space. It comes from a planet called Lactona. Because the people are afraid of the nuclair experiments from earth, they will send an egg to the earth first. Wiske notices that they didn't tell where it would land, so Barabas has to try to get the signals again.
Days later, Lambik goes to a market to show his trics to the public. But it doesn't go as well as he thought it would go. But a professor called Diavolo wants to help him and Lambik starts to take lessons from him.
Meanwhile, Barbaras get another message from Lactona. Lambik takes the Diavolo with him to Barabas his house. Sidonia doesn't want Diavolo with them when they will talk about the new message, so she let him wait in the living room.
From the message, the friends learn that the egg will land at the Mato Grosso, a rain forrest in Brazil. While Barabas burns the message, Diavolo makes sure that nobody will notice that he has heard their conversation. With a transmitter he had hide in Lambik's pocket, he heard the whole conversation.
When Wiske wants to give Diavolo something to drink, she falls over the suitcase, which is stuffed with Diavolo's equipment.
When Lambik gets the transmitter out of his pocket, they learn that Diavolo was eavesdropping on their conversation. The rest of the group goes to the living room, where they find Wiske gagged on the floor. Diavolo comes out of the shadow and shows them his gun. He reveals himself as their archenemy; Dr. Krimson. He figures that the egg will have a great value once he has it.
Meanwhile, Jerom finished bathing and attracts quite harshly not only the plug from the bath, but also a portion of the ceiling, with the result that Krimson gets all of the bathing water all over him. Krimson does escape, but Suske and Wiske get after him. But Krimson found a way to kidnap them and take them to Brazil to find the egg.
Jerom and Lambik goes after him and they fly to Brazil to stop Krimson.
Once the group gets into a fight with Krimson, they win it. But unfortunately, they can't save the giant robot of peace from Lactosa - which was in the egg - because the metal from Lactosa wasn't resistend to the warmth of the earth.
De Snikkende Sirene
A woman makes a mysterious liquic and put it in the toy-fish, made of plastic. She throws it into the river and a stork picks it up. Once the stork is above the house of Sidonia, he spits it out and the toy fish falls into the laundry basked of Sidonia. Once Sidonia finds the toy fish, she thinks there is some foam in it and she takes a bath, with the mysterious liquid. Suddenly, she finds out that she has turned into a mermaid. When Suske and Wiske comes back home, she shows them the fish and they call Lambik.
After a terrible effort from Lambik to cheer up Sidonia, she decides to leave them and go away. Suske, Wiske and Lambik decides to visit Barabas to find out about this liquid. Barabas finds out that this liquid is made from an old recipe from the Middle Ages and it can't be made undone.
One day, a Gypsy called Julio Basilica Gitano y Bandolero finds Sidonia and takes her with him. He and his helper Limon takes her to the carnivals, but she scares the public away and Julio punishes her. The next day, Limon helps Sidonia to escape.
Weeks later, Sidonia turns out to be in Germany. She saves a little girl from drowning, but when she shows them her full body, the people chase her away. One man filmed the whole happening and her friends see her on the news.
When they reach the German town, they find out that there are already some tourist tours for the mermaid.
In a bakery, Wiske finds out that Sidonia is in Boppard and she sees a Gypsy who looses his bread. When she follows him, she hears him talking to his helper that they are looking for Sidonia.
Lambik goes to the Gypsies with the children to hear their story, but they knock him out and they take his boat.
Meanwhile, Sidonia reaches the statue of the 'Lorelei'. The story goes that this woman sat on a rock and let the boatsmen sink their ships because of her beautiful voice.
Suddenly, she gets pulled upstream and she meets an old lady, who says she is the Lorelei. Sidonia is furious when she hears that the woman made the foam. They go to the cave and the woman tells Sidonia that she wants a woman who can take over her duties.
Sidonia gets a golden pearl, so she will get a beautiful voice and a golden comb to comb her hair. The Lorelei sends her to the rock and when the skippers hear Sidonia sing, they sail into the rocks. Not only the skippers smashes their ships, the drivers ride their cars into the Rhine when they hear Sidonia's voice.
When Suske, Wiske and Lambik follow the road to the Rhine, they learn from a police officer that 'the Lorelei sings again' and when they find out that Sidonia is the cause of this chaos, they go to the other side of the river, so they could warn Sidonia. From the millitary, they learn that once the rock is surrounded, they will shoot the mermaid. Once she sees her friends, she is happy to see them, but shocked when she learns about the chaos she caused. She takes the children to the cave, while Lambik tries to keep the millitary away. Lambik gets blown into the cave by an explosion and Sidonia get the contents of the jugs all over her. Her tail dissapear and through a hole in the ceiling they are able to escape. Jerom is waitint for his friends by the gyronef. He'd seen everything on the TV and with the new installed turbo booster, they are able to escape from the millitary.
