I'm trying to find time to read the book, but school's been getting into my schedule.... I saw the book in my school library, but I couldn't check it out because I was only there to look up American writers but I really want to read that book indeed...

Really? Come to think of it, when I watched the 1963 movie adaptation of Lord of the Flies, Jack did sound a little "womanly"... :lol:

Haha! I don't know if its going to be the same for you, but I laughed the whole time when I read it! XDD The Jack in Coral Island and the one in LOTF are so different...its hilarious! XDD Especially when you try to imagine Merridew saying Jack Martin's lines. XDD

JACK IS ALWAYS SO WOMANLY. PMS-ING AT RALPH AND ALL THAT. *SHOT* Even in the 1990 version the boy who played Jack looked womanly. XDDD

LOL. We'll see...

Curious, what do you think about when you hear the last name Merridew?

Well I think of Happy Jew. XDDD Cause when I was talking with a friend at school, we kept on poking fun at Jack. XDD

MERRIDEW = MERRI-DEW = MERRY JEW = HAPPY JEW.

Until now we have no idea how we formulated that. XD

LOL.

I surveyed other people the same question, and they either say "A flower", "A melon", or from one of my sister's friends "something I shouldn't say"... I know. Weird answers... :lol:
