Get off your fucking high horse. No fucking shit there wasn't going to be any productive outcomes to our conversation; you're throwing around common knowledge in defense for someone else's work and I am telling you it's none of your fucking business to try and redirect criticism towards a piece of art onto yourself.
You're not obligated to pander the artist and try to maintain his ego after you had chosen to display his artwork. The only reason you're doing so is not to help save the artist's ass but your own after having doubts about the credibility of the work you ended up featuring. There's nothing slimier in this world than two faced fucks talking about an issue ambiguously and trying to save face for their decisions. It's not your place to react to criticism regarding the artwork itself.

So you acknowledge your mistake in trying to defend something in which it is not your burden to defend? You realized that by displaying this tattoo cover up by thousands of more people than it would have prior opened up the possibility of more people criticizing the work, and that this criticism is not in fact a bad thing but rather a gift of insight which will help the artist progress in the understanding of their particular medium?
Very good, yes. It is nice to see when someone steps beyond the boundaries of their ego and accept the grievances caused as a result of their actions. It's harder than the average person suspects, you know. Most people I encounter go on the immediate counter offensive based on the fact that the word fuck flows out of my rhetorical mouth every other fucking word. It sets them off to feel as though I'm being hostile, as saying fuck and shit isn't considered a common shibboleth between the mild folk who frequent this site. For someone to take the time to evaluate my responses past the point of "oh he says fuck and nigger" and actually get some insight towards their actions always brightens my nights where I browse this website at 1:00am.
