I think by the time I'd finish the last of it the bits I did first would already be starting to dry curly, and I might not have enough textbooks! Thankyou for the advice though, I still might tea-stain in the end, but I'll have to do it a little at a time...

If you fold as you go, it won't be able to curl. And in order to tea stain, you don't have to entirely soak the paper, what I used was a little bit of tea on a sponge brush and just quickly brushed over the entire thing, folding as I went, that way I could put the weight on one bunch at a time. The weight will definitely help keep the folds as well as keep it from curling.

That's true, I do need a way to keep the folds as tight as possible. Doesn't the paper stick together if it's pressed when wet?

It's been a while since I made mine so I'm trying to remember exactly the process I used. I believe putting a sheet of waxed paper or something like it between the pages as you fold it will keep them from sticking. The folds will stay tight with the weight on them, so you don't have to worry about that. Mine stays folded up to pocket size on it's own now. Also remember, you don't want it soaked, you just want it slightly wet, any amount of tea will stain it, you don't have to get it so wet that it drips.
