aww yep I did a bit of research and yeah its fanny pack in the U.S! lolz, its always called "beltbag" here in my country that's why I dont have any idea...funny! Thank you Netherstray I learned something today 
Oh! I've had the same experiences with a British friend of mine. He was joking about being old one day and asked me if he should walk around with a "zimoframe." I was like "...And that is what?" Turns out it was what we call a walker.
zimoframe??? Who would have thought that's another term for a walker? Zimoframe for me sounds like a big machine creating complicated computer parts! Lolz! Its always nice to know new stuff!
