Even the Aurora project, which some say it already has a successor [either the TR-3B itself or another project], never was officially revealed...
And unfortunately, knowing and seeing how things go nowadays, I doubt they'll say a word about it.
I mean, when the F-117 was revealed, in 1988, it was operational since 1983; only 5 years of gap.
But back then, we didn't have internet, we didn't have this bunch of satellites, we didn't have the access to this amount of information we have today...
so I guess it's hardly they'll ever mention anything about it. :/
If I'm not mistaken, even the SR-71 was only officially recognized after a little amount of years...
But I'll always be curious about what destiny the $2.3 billion budget took in the 1980s...I know the B-2 was also in development back then, but still...
