I use a set of Lee 4x6 ND grad filters. Typically I wont carry the holder, for weight reduction. I'll just hold the filter in front of the lens. It works OK for exposures less than 30 seconds. They are not the most expensive, kind of middle of the road and I've been happy with the results so far.
