I have a question. But I need you to be super honest.
How does it look up close and in person? I'm still having trouble with covering my eyebrows (there black and bushy :-( ) and I have tried many tutorials, but have not had any 'up close' success. I'm thinking about using this method, but how is the outcome? And the Kryolan product?

The eyebrow plastic and spirit gum really help diminish the appearance of hair under all the makeup. However if you have thicker brows this makes it significantly more difficult. There still will be, and always will be (without the aid of prosthetics) a texture difference between your eyebrows and your skin. If you really want a clean bare skinned look I'd really suggest you pluck your eyebrows down to a smaller shape, this doesn't eliminate the problem but with less hair, there is less to cover, and less texture difference to notice.
The method I use looks pretty good at a conversational distance, but as I said, a texture difference can be noticed. If you want full face high resolution pictures taken of you and expect to have a seamless difference in your brow cover, you'll have to resort to photoshop. It's just sort of the nature of the beast. It also helps to just keep practicing, because it's not something I picked up and could do well after only one application.
Here are a few other pictures of that technique, if it helps you make any conclusions for yourself.
