Bas Rutten is primarily a striker. Which I'm sure means he aims to finish the fight by knocking the other dude unconscious. And believe me, people have gotten knocked out pretty fucking fast in MMA. Jose Aldo once ended a fight with a flying double knee combo in mere seconds into the fight. That's all it took. I think the guy broke his orbital bone.

Uh yeah, the hips can turn because you have legs. If you don't have legs, you can't turn your hips. The entire reason you can even use your hips is because of the legs. Therefore, the power originates from the legs. LEGS LEGS LEGS.

The hips leads in a strong kick when you step into it. Stepping = legs. LEGS.

and there was a local guy who took one shot to the head and died in a coma. i've smashed boards that are harder than ribs- it's really not hard to semi-permanently maim someone in a couple of seconds if you know what you're doing...i hate to be the one to tell you, but MMA's not real.

euuuungh. allright, once more. the legs don't provide turning motion. it's pretty straightforward. they compensate and allow it, but the driving motion is at that central powerhouse. if your footing's nice and wide, you don't need to step, but there's disadvantages to that, too.

Alright, that's a bit ridiculous. It is real in that people are really getting injured, but I'm pretty sure you mean they're not like street fights when you can do the "illegal" shit. If that's what you mean by them not being real then OKAAAYY FIIIINNNEE, they're not "real" fights.

Alright whatever. You and your technicalities.

like i said man, there's different ways to do these things...i've seen half a dozen distinctly different side kicks- and all from students at the same school. anyway, sorry if i was out of line- i have a tendancy to get preachy about this stuff.
